Year 11 Netball Make it a Hatrick

Year 11 girls took part in the second league night.
Their first game was against North Leam. The team played some great team netball playing the ball around the court well. Some great interceptions by GD Olivia Constable and WD Kacie Morby saw the play turned on several occasions which then saw the ball brought down the court with great composure by C Cerys James and some great feeds into the shooting duo of GA Madison Smith and GS Charlotte Wain seeing the girls win the first game 17-3.
The girls second game saw them face Myton. With past games between these two teams being very competitive and results very close the girls knew they had to continue the play from the first game. They did just this. GK Lucy Parker had a great game keeping the GS out of the game. Again the girls played some excellent netball passing the ball around the court well with the shooters scoring on top form. Myton struggled to keep up with the pace and excellent passing which saw the girls win an impressive 18-6.
The last game was Kingsley. Again we knew this would be a competitive game. The girls started off well with some great defensive interceptions again by GD Olivia Constable . All the girls had to work hard as the pace and passing from Kingsley was quick and accurate. C Cerys James ensured Southam kept possession of the ball with WA Cara Andrews feeding some great balls into the circle. With a switch in positions in the circle GA Charlotte Wain and GS Madison Smith worked well together ensuring the goals went in. A very close fought game saw the girls win their final game 10-9.
A big thank you to Olivia Constable and Charlotte Wain for playing up a year group.
Well done to all of you, it was a great team effort and you played some fantastic netball.
Thanks for a great evening.
Mrs Smith.
