L’aventure continue! Students enjoyed a delicious petit-déjeuner this morning with some freshly baked croissants and chocolate chaud, before heading out to experience the market in Le Touquet. Here students completed lots of speaking challenges, and Mme Spencer and I were extremely impressed with the way students threw themselves into these activities – really proud of the amount of French language everyone tried out on the French vendors! Special shout out to Rory Stewart and gang for their efforts, and Mia Russell, Lily Fraser-Pope and Caitlin Neville.
After a quick visit to the beach, it was on to a local biscuit factory where students learnt about production of this local delicacy (and tried some wares). Etaples Military Cemetery came next, and students spent some time admiring this powerful place before moving onto more food at the chocolate factory.
Well done Louie Bulyka and Jack Waterfield for being the first complete the challenges here! We saw lots of chocolate being purchased at the factory – can only assume it’s presents for those at home!
More games this evening, then rest for our visit to school tomorrow! A demain.
